MAKE ART. GET WEIRD. STAY CURIOUS.

The Creative Rebellion is a Salt Lake City creative community founded by artist, educator, and Creativity Coach JJ Riggs.

We create art experiences designed to help people experiment, play, connect, and strengthen their creativity — whether you consider yourself an artist or haven't picked up a paintbrush since elementary school.

Led by JJ Riggs, The Creative Rebellion brings approachable art experiences into unexpected spaces throughout Utah. We've created with organizations and communities including SLAS, Midvale Main Street Gallery, UMOCA, Tracy Aviary, Workshop SLC, Hills Kitchen, and more.

JJ is a practicing fine artist with more than 20 years of experience in art, design, creative leadership, and education. As a Creativity Coach, she helps people move beyond perfectionism, trust their instincts, and rediscover something most of us already have: the ability to create.

Create. Connect. Come Alive.

YOU DON’T HAVE TO BE AN ARTIST TO MAKE GREAT ART.

Actually, that’s kind of our thing.

The Creative Rebellion offers approachable, slightly unconventional art classes designed to get you out of your head and into making.

Explore Picasso Self-Portraits, Basquiat-inspired art, watercolor, collage, abstract painting, creativity exercises, mixed media, and classes you probably won’t find at your average art studio.

No experience required. Supplies are included. Curiosity highly encouraged.

Come alone. Bring a friend. Have a drink. Make something you’re proud of.
