Pilar Pobil was a beloved Salt Lake City artist whose vibrant paintings, sculptures and fearless creativity made her one of Utah’s most influential artists.

For 64 years, Pilar transformed her Avenues home into a work of art itself, filling it with color, hand-painted surfaces, sculptures, original artwork and the stories of an extraordinary creative life.

Pilar died in 2024 at the age of 98, leaving behind Casa Pilar: a living legacy waiting to be explored.

Spend the afternoon touring Pilar’s remarkable home and garden, experiencing her original artwork and discovering the woman behind it.

Then head into Pilar’s gorgeous garden for a hands-on workshop with The Creative Rebellion, where you’ll create your own storytelling artwork inspired by Pilar’s expressive approach to art.
