J.J. Riggs has spent her career at the intersection of creativity, leadership, and human connection. After earning a B.A. in Computer Animation from the Art Institute, she spent over 20 years leading award-winning design and product teams in the tech industry—driving innovation at companies like Purple, Bluehost, and BILL.com. But before design systems and metrics, there was always paint.

Returning to her first love, J.J. now focuses on portraiture and creative workshops that bridge art and personal growth. Her teaching background in both high-school and college art programs informs her belief that everyone has the capacity to create—and that the act of making art can reignite confidence, curiosity, and joy.
